More of this is what
we are going to get
MARYSVILLE, Calif. 5/31/02 (YSN) -- No one seems to be concerned that the FBI, always an abuser of power when it comes to stifling dissent, will now have a freer hand to surveil, sabotage and set up.
Even as the expansion of the police powers is reported in the Washington Post and NY Times to a ho-hum reaction by the press, this not-so-long ago example of police black ops and testiilying slides by unnocticed (or, perhaps intentionally ignored) in the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
It's amazing how tenaciously some reporters can cling to the notion that government police forces "bungle" investigations into crimes someone else allegedly committed even when the the most likely and logical conclusion, based on the evidence, is that the cops committed the crime and covering it up with a show of "Oh, how inept of us. We sure botched that one."
