The 'Net is alive with Arnold and gubernatorial recall talk, yet not a call from Newsweek. I suspect this has to do with the fact that it is anow a big fat national story, so the bureau chiefs are more inclined to do it themselves, rather than use stringers.

Meantime, the recall has prompted ruminations in the systemic problems of elections in California and the U.S. in general.

For example: There is this discussion of a clever idea regarding so-called "ranked voting.and the elimination of primaries."
