Man killed by train
MARYSVILLE (2/18/03) -- Police Tuesday identified Shaun Patrick Moore, 22, of Marysville as the man found dead by the Union Pacific railroad tracks.
A railroad employee discovered Moore's battered body about 6:30 a.m. Saturday lying between rail tracks located at 10th and Walnut streets, a Marysville Police Department spokesman said.
The extreme visible wounds were consistent with having been run over by a train. Transients in the past have been known to hop slow-moving freights in that area, the spokesman reported.
Forty-seven-year-old Arthur Dean Brazfield, also of Marysville, was hit and killed by a train in the same general area Feb. 2.
