We slip from pathos to bathos. It is said that satire died the night Henry Kissinger accepted the Nobel Peace Prize. I caught part of a radio news item the other day that Bush and Blair now have been nominated for the same prize. I was tuned to a New Age alternative-lib community radio station (Yes, such things exist.) so naturally I took it to be a joke. Imagine my chagrin when I learned out it wasn't.
