Saddam Hussein flatly denied Iraq had any weapons of mass destruction. Bush repeatedly claimed it did. None were found, and U.S. WMD searchers have given up looking, saying none may ever be found. They now say they'll settle for "documentation" that weapons might once have existed.

Meanwhile, all of what little evidence the U.S. publicly adduced to "prove" such weapons existed has been publicly discredited as false, faked and fabricated.

In the end, then, the only thing that;s been proved is that George W. Bush and the media outlets and pundits who gloss over it are more hardened and despicable liars than the abominable Saddam Hussein was.
