Department of sick jokes. The CIA is to go back over the reports and try to determine wheher some intelligence agencies may ahve "erred" in their assessments of the Iraqi threat prior to the invasion -- so the New York Times reports with a straight face.

This is like saying that Br'er Rabbit, now safely out of the reach of Br'er Fox, will go back over the record try to assess whether he "erred" in crying out, "Oh, puh-leeze don't throw me in that briar patch!"

If they were to suddenly start telling the truth their conclusion that all the false information packed into the pre-invasion assessments was absolutely the perfect amount to facillitate the desired end.
