Un-euphonius, maybe, but reasonably accurate: The United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) seem constantly paired of late in dubious battles.

The conflict in Iraq has raised a number of questions concerning the integrity and professionalism of the intelligence services of the United Kingdom and the United States. Progressive Response
This gives rise to many interesting possibilities. Perhaps the two inseperable warrior nations could be joined together in one serviceable acronym: USUK. Of course, wags would promptly verbally telescope this into the ugly-sounding, but reasonably accurate, "U-Suck."

Not perfect, mind you, but just think what wits could do with UK-US and a spare 'F'.
