THIS MAY BE TOO MUCH info, but it is interesting. The existance of Rob Cockerham of Sacramento and his web site came to my attention when I happened to read a 3/9/03 NY Times
story about Mr. Cockerham's "club card" spoof.

Intrigued, I visited his web site. There, I found material on the mathematical dynamics of pyramid schemes.

Cockerham offers one of the clearest explanations-cum-illustrations of what pyramid are,
why they ultimately don't work and what some of the possible consquences are, if you get involved in one. He accomplishes this last with a look at Sacramento's celebrated "women helping woman" affair.
