History, murder top to-do list;

MARYSVILLE, Calif., 4/14/02 (YSN) -- This will be a busy week with stories ahead on preserving an historical house in Yuba City, closing arguments in the Vichuan Her murder trial and follow up on county health department issues.
When the Yuba County Board of Supervisors meet Tuesday they will consider. amng other things, spending just shy of $99,000 for 21 Panasonic notebooks for the Sheriff's Department, continuation of McDonough, Holland as its law firm on certain matters of litigation and what to do about three recently filed tort claims.
The three include the harassment and civil rights claims filed by Bevery Craig and Carolyn Williams, two county Health and Human Services Department emplyees now on paid adminstrative leave as the result of a long-running dispute. The third claim may be one reportedly filed by another HHS employee who was fired two weeks ago as part of the shake-up in HSS.
Last week a fourth HSS employee was terminated. The reason for her firing remains unclear. Sources say her job was in no way connected with Williams, Craig and HSS Director Mike Noda, who has announced he will resign on June 30.
